Lake Albert

Lake Albert is one of Wagga’s most popular recreational facilities. It caters for boating, fishing, swimming and other aquatic activities. The five-and-a-half kilometre circuit walking track is commonly used by walkers, joggers and bike riders. Boat ramps are located at Bosley Park, adjacent to the Wagga Wagga Boat Club on the lake’s western side, and at Apex Park on the eastern side. RAAF Wagga Heritage Centre

In addition to the Heritage Centre, pictured, the RAAF Base Wagga has a display of static aircraft at the front gate which can be viewed at any time. Currently a Canberra bomber, Meteor jet, Mirage and Sabre fighters and a Winjeel trainer may be seen on display. Wagga Wagga RAAF Museum was officially opened in June 1995 with a collection of object from the RAAF Base Wagga and icommunity donations.
